That stings and sucks – yet I still feel so excited for you! All those submissions! So many writers don’t even go that far!
I’ve gotten several rejections this year – let me count, hold on – 5, 6, 7 – 7 rejections for January and February. Didn’t submit in March.
Hang on to those encouraging words – submit more. Be brave.

Thanks, Peggy Kattelus. I’m really not too bothered – after all, two of these were from F&SF, and they literally reject more than 99% of the stories that are sent to them.
My ratio last year was about 6.5:1 for rejections to acceptances, and so far this year I’ve had 17 rejections and 3 acceptances, so the ratio is holding or improving.
