Asimov was optimistic in his timeline, but pretty accurate in general outline in this article from 1984.
(I’m reading a book about him and some other SF “greats” at the moment. They were not wonderful people.)

It’s called Astounding, by Alex Nevala Lee. It focuses on John W. Campbell and three of his authors: Asimov, Heinlein, and L. Ron Hubbard.
If someone today behaved at conventions like Asimov used to, they would be banned, and quite likely sued, for sexual harassment. But in those days it was dismissed as, “That’s just Isaac, he doesn’t mean anything by it.”

Yes. In fact, some of them did. Judith Merrill famously grabbed his crotch when he grabbed her butt. He’s quoted as saying, “You get slapped a lot, but you get laid a lot too,” which pretty much puts paid to “he didn’t mean anything by it”.

Mike Reeves-McMillan Pretty well clear admission of guilt.
