  1. I have never done this. I never bother writing down ideas, even if I forget them there’ll be another dozen along in a minute. Having ideas is not my problem, having enough time to write them as stories, that’s another matter… :-/

  6. Worse is when you spend ages writing down an amazing idea you had and then read it back to discover that it either makes no sense or sounds a lot like a film you saw or book you read, lol.

    I don’t trust dreams very much, their logic is often weird and not good for storytelling. You can get a good idea, but you can also get plenty of gibberish.

    I mainly keep paper and pen beside my bed for ideas I have before I drop off to sleep, as if I can’t sleep I’ll think through stuff and most of it will be gone when I wake up, so I write down anything good. =]
