You may or may not know that these existed, but some are certainly very useful. (I wish more authors would use the “definition” feature to make sure they’re using the right word, for example.)

I use Google define search all the time when letting students know that they have mixed up words. It is so great to be able to share as a link – for example:
https://www.google.com/search?q=smirk+define&oq=smirk+define&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l3.2092j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
(some students seem to think smirk is a neutral synonym for smile… with some very odd results)
