I have a story I’m currently trying to sell in which a young woman is struggling in her career as an “aspiration model” – basically what this article calls an influencer.

Sounds kinda William Gibson-ish. Instead of word-memes, existence memes.
And my story is, indeed, post-cyberpunk.
The tricky part is finding a market that is simultaneously OK with the skiffy parts and the part where the protagonist is a young woman with a young woman’s concerns.
Well, there’s at least some market space in that area now.
