Most of the stories I grew up on that mentioned organs had black markets, with the wealthy buying organs from the poor or criminals – often before they were dead. Printing from the recipient’s tissue solves so many problems, though resources are still an issue. Hopefully it won’t be reserved for the elite, but will benefit all that need it.

Rita de Heer if the printed organ is built with the patient’s own cells there would be no rejection, barring autoimmune disorders.
