I love the green buildings idea, and want to do more with it in fiction.
Margaret Atwood has a green building in one of her futurist novels … I mention that merely because sometimes it’s a good idea to read what others have done, to be able to steer a different course.
I’d love a scene like the cab ride in Fifth Element going through a green canyon. though it will in effect be difficult to green city canyons. The lack of sunlight going down will prevent vegetative growth.
Could use fungi of course. About time they broke from their constraints.
