I’ve seen the potential dystopian flip side of this too: 3D printing destroys the manufacturing and logistics industry, leading to mass blue-collar unemployment and thus entire communities that can’t afford to get into the “maker” economy.
Aaaaaand BOOM! Universal Basic Income!
