Just received an email from a short story competition I’d forgotten about entering.
I won.
My story “Gatekeeper, What Toll?” (which is quite possibly the best story I’ve written so far) will appear in an audio anthology from Remastered Words.

Wow! That’s fantastic. Congratulations!
Yay!
Even better that you’d forgotten and weren’t waiting on the news. Congratulations!
Wow, what a nice surprise! Congrats!
Congrats, Mike! And that’s a great lesson for submitting to competitions: Fire and forget.
Oh, that’s awesome!
Jefferson Smith, TBH I don’t invest a lot of anxiety into submissions anymore. I’ve made over 200 submissions now, and with a 10% acceptance rate, it’s just not worth worrying about.

Congrats!
Congratulations! This is the kind of surprise that’s great to get.
