1. More, bigger technological change is coming, faster and larger than we think.
2. We are absolutely not ready for it.
3. Historically, this kind of change ends up having predominantly positive effects, though the transition is hard for those living through it.
4. This particular set of technologies may actually help us through the transition as well.

I’m actually writing a research paper on almost this exact topic this semester.
My current thesis which I just wrote a few hours ago:
As artificial intelligence transforms the robotics industry, first-world societies are in for radical paradigm shifts that will reshape and invigorate professionalism so long as strict new guidelines for robotics are made, education is reformed, and social welfare is expanded.

I’m trying to make sure I’m still relevant to the economy. I run computers and am learning how to make knives from scrap metal. Whatever the future brings, I should be able to make a living.
