Provincegold of Six Gorges, she is a middle-aged woman a little older than Felicity Lake, but looks younger. She takes great care of, and pride in, her appearance, so even though she is not in fact beautiful, most people think of her as matching her name.

She is also highly intelligent, committed to education, and a supporter of Determined. She starts a magic school in her province, and hosts the Eye of Lakeside (see newspapers) when it is driven out by the first Siege of Lakeside Koslin in the Unification War.
